Canada’s National Urban Parks are great because they:
- Care for nature and promote local biodiversity
- Connect people with nature where they live
- Advance reconciliation with Indigenous peoples
Parks Canada has a strategy to create 6 new National Urban Parks by 2025 and 15 by 2030. But the current plan is so under-funded it might not even meet its first goal!
For the National Urban Park strategy to deliver on its promise — for these parks to become a reality — they need to hear from Canadians like us!
